I've drafted over 100 decks in the new draft mode. Here's my feedback. (Part 2)

Continuation of Part 1.
BEWARE! Walls of text ahead!
Let's start with some additional points I didn't mention last time:
The draft phase should take into consideration the difference in provision sum between the 3 set of cards it presents. Having 1-2 provision difference is no big deal, having 17 is.
While in the previous post I mainly highlighted things that doesn't work as they should in this one I'll mainly throw in a bunch of ideas that might be worth testing since it's early access and all. Let's start:When sets with key importance like thinning, defenders or resilience (make it it's own category) happen to show up, the choice could be between 3 different variations of said category.I also don't think the above three should show up more than once, but that's a more controversial topic for later.
"Ozzrel's Tasty Snack" category is op in it's current form."Geralt Unleashed" should not exist. One geralt can already win or lose you the round, depending on if you can find him a target or not. Three Geralts are way too much.
When you start your draft, you pick one key importance card at the start - which for some reason can range from Masquerade Ball to Malena in terms of strength - then draft from categories that the game throws at you based on your leader and the chosen card 8 times, expanding the categories it gives based on newly picked cards' tags and abilities. These categories usually consist of one card with provision cost 8 or more and two lower rarity cards.
The problem is that said high provision card might very well be something that requires you to already have a set number of specific cards to function properly, and so when picking it, you are taking a risk that you may not be able to properly utilize it's ability, if at all. This is enhanced by the fact that the game might give you such highly synergistic cards multiple times in a row, making it harder and harder to properly fill out your deck with the cards required (unless you are picking firesworn, dwarves or elves. Then the deck basically builds itself...)
These highly synergistic cards could benefit from one of two changes. They could either use an additional criteria, or the picking phase could change from: 1-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-S to: 1-3-3-3-1-3-3-3-2-2-1-S, with the 2s being a duo card pick (Dulla/Unicorn/Serrit duos or Ozzrel and one of his friends) and the bold 1s being single picks between 3 of the above mentioned highly synergistic cards, depending on your previous choices. The one in the middle being an epic card (200 shard cost) and the one at the end being a legendary card (800 shard cost.) If you picked a lot of elves, it could have Aelirenn. If you picked a lot of dwarves, it could have Xavier Moran. If you picked Serrit+Auckes at the duo card pick, one of the last single pick legendaries could be Letho. I think this would lead to a better system, but it might also take more effort to implement. If we'd want to go with the additional criteria instead:
and so on...
Speaking of categories, the current "Coins" category can include multiple combination of coin generators, coin spenders, Fee and Profit cards. Ideally, you'd want the proportion of coin generating and coin spending cards to be 2 to 1, but you often find them the other way around in this category, usually in the form of Vivaldi Bank/Philippa/Savolla, Caesar Bilzen and a random profit+fee card. I'd advise either changing it or creating different categories for "Profit" and "Fee," with a guaranteed chance for the other to appear if one is picked.
The "Deck Shuffle" category is what you get if you put every card that has the word "top" or "swap" written in it's description. 2/3 of it's contents are meme worthy while the remaining 1/3 might in some cases be good enough that you actually want to pick it, but that might just be a mistake as the game will start spamming this category in your face, limiting your options to only two, hopefully better choices.
Next I'd like to talk about something more controversial that's been bothering me both in the previous Arena's and the current Draft's design, and that's the high number of duplicate cards the game can potentially give you. Playing cards from multiple factions and finding new synergies between them is fun. Losing to triple Resilience or two Ygherns isn't. I'm sure there are people who are absolutely thrilled when they make people forfeit like this, but those people that lost might just give up on the game mode after being on the recieving end of such bs. I know I did after a few too many such cases in the old Arena.
I might play around one Great Oak, but nobody in their right mind will expect two. When I lose to that, it kills for me the very thing I most enjoy about Gwent, which is predicting the opponent's next moves and playing accordingly. At that point I might as well just give up on thinking and start brainlessly throwing whatever I have left in my hand from smallest to highest onto the board, hoping that I'll have more points by the end of the round than the other guy, but I don't want to turn into the average Monsters player.
In light of this I'd like to propose limitations in terms of the number of copies of a card you can get in draft, the same as normal. Two for bronzes, one for golds. The mode would NOT turn into unranked 2.0 as you'd still get crazy comboes by picking cards from every faction, and boy do we have an ample card pool by now.
Of course that would mean changes to a lot of current draft categories, but honestly, some of them could already use that like the bronze deck thinners as they often have a criteria which you might not be able to meet with your currently drafted deck (some examples are at the top.) I'd advise turning these trios into duos with a synergy card in tow instead:
I also had some ideas like the very first choice always being a decision between 3 versions of Geralt, so people couldn't just pick dumb huge units and they'd actually have to play around or bait out the enemy's Geralt which they'll always have, but I'm just throwing this here to the end because I'm way too tired to think about it any harder.
I've spent the last 3 hours writing this, I think I'll to go sleep.
If you managed to read it to the end, thank you, you're a champ!

whatever you want this one's due i'm into this game for at least a thousand bucks i get this one two oh the better match yeah no no but this one yesterday all right here we go twenty dollars to spend fifty four hundred dollar major hundred and three thousand dollar grand this is slower than like that first [Music] so the floor is 500 on this game unless we decide to play a second round on it so thousand dollar ticket in the floor come on what whoa no oh i thought you had it oh wow how did you screw that up very easily oh i thought i had it thousands left what happened to that 20 orb what brandon true b.o.d ah what what grand did you hit the other day when the raja was live it's probably the same as me having malaria whatever that's worth [Music] it's no minor finally [Music] the good news is i don't have malaria currently but the question is are you going to fall asleep 2 000. i knew this game was due ah yeah come on keeping it alive [Music] now i pumped well over a thousand bucks in this game last night [Music] plus in the group paul we didn't do too well either [Music] [Applause] thousand right [Music] oh here it comes 103 000 live let me at least see it i did not see it i got my glasses on and i don't see it again the drama it's left-handed does it work nope i need to mix it up is that what you do in the bedroom people got jokes today come on [Music] hopefully we keep playing well i can pay off my markers it'll be nice [Music] that's something is that tick-tock tick-tock well i only have one phone unlike some people wow you guys both have one phone wait we got so many girls and tracy d if you don't mind sending me a photos later on of all the jackpots thank you all right so the floor is gonna be three thousand bucks one more moon there's still good line hit john johnson boom boom boom in bod's room that's right [Music] yeah this machine was definitely due after i mean carrie watched me struggle on this game last night i mean struggle one more i knew this game had to do a comeback hi there how you doing today good how are you i'm doing well you can't do recording what did this gentleman tell you i'm spitting fake news again i'm gonna have to call security on you that wouldn't be the first time yeah they called him last time when he had those prostitutes you grabbed his hands on his feet caesar's palace was not a good day remember caesar's palace and that lady i was tracy says i'm waiting jose you got this bee all right cash it out so this yeah so yeah this was a new this was a fresh ticket jimmy beauty on ajita keep it up i got your hoodie in my room during his live play i'll get it for you all right cash cove 25 a spin so the floor is just under 2 500. purple and gold saw it's nice wind keep it up i'm going to purple gold and i got jimmy d there you go all right all right so the floor is like 2 400 and change what doesn't want my ticket i did this yesterday too gaming machine unable to redeem at this time that was weird and it took it cash go 25 to spend cash cove just under 2 400 sorry just under 2 500. come on make up make up for you so 24 in change [Music] 100 dollars get it oh but thank you to all the mods help out thank you to kerry all aboard or luxury line tiffany j beauty great live stream can you play some cats all right we'll do cats after this [Music] no thank you nope i'm doing well not drinking anything so i'm gonna hold off as long as we keep winning i will not have a sip of water the entire livestream i am very superstitious [Music] what did he get nice jose is on ajita as tracy d would say this ticket will be put in the bank after this machine is over that's a great observation [Music] [Music] doesn't want me to quit this game i guess no okay there you go all right couple more spins not gonna go below 2400 come on come on all right final spin on this game cash an hour all right all right so that i think it's done all right we're gonna put another thousand dollar ticket in so once again the floor is gonna be um 500 bucks i didn't have to didn't have time to break down the tickets cats here it is somebody wanted cats to send a super chat and i haven't done cats in a while so [Music] 15 to spin [Music] yes that's it i thought it looked it looked a lot better in my mind sometimes the lower bets work better that's a pay line on 15. oh fine don't have to convince me it looks like if i'm a game manufacturer i'm making 15 lines that's not one of mine [Music] yeah of all the games being different heights different angles it's not always the easiest sometimes to uh that's it fifteen all right 30 that's fine 30 bucks on cats ah 200 nice [Music] come on bank the bonus that's good huh 400. nice [Music] that's right johnny milwaukee loves all the games that have cats in it kitty glitter miss kitty [Music] bonus [Music] [Music] what do you think should i play 45 a spin on catch or keep it here at 30. 500 is the floor we're going for that bonus oh yeah 250. i'll tell you what we'll do actually choose the max you can only play 30 bucks so by default oh bonus nope no nope gina anyway can you play black widow uh maybe you'll do some black widow i'll tell you what since we're doing well in the game we'll i don't want to lose any money on this game so we'll set the floor in a thousand bucks so we guarantee we don't lose any money playing cats [Music] i hate to do well in the machine and go broke trying to hit the bonus so [Music] come on okay 200 just for that [Music] and if we break the two 2000 mark maybe he'll set a floor above that come on full screen say meow i likey [Music] so if the raja ever tells you something about me 95 of the time it's not true he said you were an awesome individual b.o.d yep see told you now he knows better than joke about my dogs so oh yeah that's like the one thing he knows so if he says something about my dogs that may be true but besides that i never had malaria [Music] what's not a pay line but this jagged thing is that's bs hey ben hello [Music] don't get called on me kitty cats [Music] all right um is black widow on here all right this game's getting cold i'm going to use this extra 186 dollars for black widow so the forum black widow's still going to be 500. i so whatever that's worth executive vod decision [Music] forty dollars to spend on black widow [Music] the floor is at 500 on the game he's taking some of that extra money [Music] all right a black widow floor is five hundred dollars oh there's yep i that's a lot of people say i look like the purple guy in black widow they're the pink guy does that look like b.o.d what do you guys think i think it is they modeled it after me maybe that's right the raja this is his favorite game because he gets to see me all the time [Music] wow cheryl clark blackwidow be nice to b.o.d thank you we don't think we had a single playback of anything on black widow yet [Music] not a single does black widow hate b.o.d looks like ben affleck oh there we go on the last spin it pays 160 says don't quit on me [Music] ah mark wahlberg all right final spin and we're putting this ticket in the bank for cats and black widow so cats and black widow is done now i did play some um dancing drums earlier today and i got killed 2 000 down on dancing drums so based on that it's dancing drums revenge [Music] time [Music] yeah i saw my afternoon live play we did play some dancing drums so what do i got left 500 500 500 000 so 6500 in tickets i have 2500 left let's just make it easy to put a 500 ticket here so once again guys i had to get some thousand dollar tickets i couldn't get the 500 so that's why we used some tickets twice 1760 a bet and we're going for three if we get it we're going for three the last three games we haven't done anything so we're due for another bonus here jimbo come on drums let's see a bonus i agree timbo so the mini's at 178 miners 626 that seems awfully high you son of a yeah majors at 9 000 yeah we're going for three because that's what i said all right here we go all right big money there we go that's it [Music] yes oh one more dragon that helped 120 yeah 360. [Music] all right 660 dollar bonus [Music] all right we're gonna play some more uh like 750 floor on this game we need some backup spins let's get another bonus [Music] you know screw it we'll do the mystery if we get it again that sounds fine with me mystery if we get another bonus i just hit five drums [Music] all right final spin unless we hit something um [Music] all right whoops says uh [Music] top dollar let's do it [Music] a lot of people like the double top dollar [Music] yeah 210 dollars to spend sorry 10 dollars a credit 20 [Music] we've been doing better on the lower d knobs right now so [Music] she says always double she's an expert so yeah 10's on there i'm putting a thousand dollar ticket in so the floor will be 500. [Music] so it's 20 dollars yes we did some higher spins earlier going backwards still good slide play [Music] carla howard says good luck tonight hashtag bonus time hope you're staying warm up there [Music] carla [Music] oh [Music] [Music] is my card working all right let's see this top dollar logo [Music] so close there we go [Music] almost 2 000 people watching thank you guys for tuning in tonight make the bonus live play from the cosmopolitan las vegas hit that subscribe button keep notifications on because sometimes i do surprise live play like this morning last spin [Music] and i did some like hundred dollar huffing puff this morning all right let's move on to some pinball [Music] two credit pinball we'll do 20 to spin on this too yes we'll do the video poker [Music] let's set pinball yeah uh these old school pinballs you can't see them anymore you don't find them much all the casinos that have them do not get rid of them looks like the new pinball they have it's a little different format 20 to spin so with a three credit pinball you get five shots with two credit pinball you get four [Music] that was 250 okay give this some more ammo to hit this pinball come on come on [Music] ah so close we have 1500 left after this the big jackpot will be live at 5 30 pacific time so [Music] and maybe i'll do some surprise late night live play tonight you never know that's why you have to subscribe and click those notifications on if i do like it yeah yeah it's something i was waiting for like yeah eight grand i'm like my like time just kind of stopped okay for me i'm like is it gonna happen [Music] it is what time what time is it carrie right now i think about five o'clock or so so it's 4 45 yes there we go uh i think i'm gonna keep the ten dollar genome it's working i hate to blow through everything on the twenty five dollar d numb we ain't broke i rather win a little bit of money on a smaller bet than lose more money on a larger bet [Music] yeah maybe some we'll see late no promises i did a surprise live play this afternoon [Music] and it's not a surprise if i tell you happy new year b.o.d and good luck well thank you sonny happy new year to you come on pinball get a couple decent line hips golden nugget that's a casino we're at the cosmopolitan is there a game called golden nugget oh yeah [Music] what was your biggest hit um nice on 15 bets yeah can't beat that [Music] i know where a wild wild nugget is but um some guy last night kept saying wild wild nugget the whole time and it really gave me bad juju and we lost so no wild wild nugget tonight i'm not a fan of that game anyways but we got a come on bonus 80. okay 250 it's a good start come on 80 80 no 500 bucks come on 80 80. 918Kiss Thai Slot Game Review 2021 Version - Roman Colosseum Slots

Topics set in the past consistently remain a firm top choice of card sharks when hoping to invest a bit of value energy and play for genuine cash on a gambling club slot machine. The fervor of being shipped across an ideal opportunity to the past methods we would all be able to envision what it probably been similar to live in such old occasions. Roman Colosseum by 918Kiss Thai Slot conveys the player to antiquated Rome on its 5 reels and all the more exactly to the Colosseum, the home of the warrior. A particularly extravagant setting requests luxurious prizes and 918Kiss doesn't disillusion at all for certain clever added highlights. The compensation table is an amazingly solid one that befits abundance and way of life of a Roman Emperor.

Allow Battle To start

The 918Kiss stone colosseum is round so onlookers can see the full battling activity. Its plan utilizes a lot of roman parchment plans on sections and incredible sculptures of metal, marble and gold line the passages. Remaining at 48 meters high in the entirety of its wonder and holding a horde of more than 50,000, the colosseum stands prepared and the control board welcomes the player to tap on turn for the competition to start. The fine art is brilliant for this endeavor into a gladiatorial world with various images utilized on the reels. Indeed, even the usual result card images that discover their direction onto most exemplary slots get a roman change with added tree leaves embellishing them. The principle character is the warrior and in spite of being an expert contender, is additionally master wild image when called upon and gets serious about successes in the free games. He needs his reinforcement to secure him, so likewise playing on the reels are a blade, body shield and in particular, the combatants cap. No antiquated roman subject would be finished without a sack of gold coins some place thus they get an image in Roman Colosseum. As the Emperor peers down over the baying swarm, he tastes wine from his gold cup and it's this vessel that gets its own image as well. The image to look for is the dissipate image that is represented with a picture of the Colosseum as this will trigger the free twists games and compensation with a monster reward.

Everyone's Eyes to the Emperor

The dissipate image takes on a wild change, plainly, as the fighter wild image unites to release another force. Whenever it has made an incredible payout to the player for showing up in numbers, in its most recent structure it will get serious about any triumphant mixes along the paylines. It will likewise permit the games highlight to retrigger and keep on procuring however much as could be expected. Be that as it may, reels don't turn for this. All things considered, mosaic tiles cover all the tiles in the lattice and beginning from the upper left, the tiles shoot away in a falling movement to uncover the images leaning against a red fabric background under. A pleasantly added bet include permits wins to be additionally helped in a round of 50/50 possibility that lays on the turn of a playing card. Players can pick red or dark to twofold or lose. To help choose what direction to go, along the top is a record of past turns and players can bet this route up to multiple times on a series of wins. With wagers to be put somewhere in the range of 40 and 10000 coins, there are some truly enormous pots to play for in 918Kiss Thailand.

The Ides of March

Rome isn't about combatants, in spite of the fact that they do include a ton. Perhaps the most renowned Romans was Julius Caesar and he shows up in the free Golden Rome slot from the designer Leander. The paylines are fixed and the wagering range has a refreshingly moderate play scale if deciding to take a punt with genuine money, beginning at 0.40 to 4 being the maximum wagered to put. It has stacked character images and an extending wild with the Emperor Caesar to help rake in the coins. The compensation table qualities are increased by the line wager so in spite of the fact that there are some pleasant successes, there is nothing also stunning. Notwithstanding, the wilds will add multipliers in the free twists round that are set off by colosseum dissipates which can grant up to 40 twists. It has a RTP of 95.24% which is less than ideal, yet it has some decent 3D designs to view and moves pleasantly to portable stages which is a welcome reward. Just thought that was interesting since I definitely bought more coins to complete the offer on time.

Offerwall revisited

Offerwall revisited
I wanted to talk about the offerwall a bit, realistic expectations, maybe a few pointers on the ones I completed, and what to stay away from if spare time isn't in excess for some. I've personally completed 4 offers, sadly only 3 paid up, but I feel the failure was on my part due to swapping devices.
Idle Heroes - Obtain a monster. This is not just do a summon and you're done, this is hitting rank 70 and than buying any one of 9~ monsters. Once you're setup it mostly plays itself. The first day will be the most intensive as you're familiarizing yourself with the huge array of buildings and whats, wheres, and things hidden in various shops in the corners. Probably 1-2 hours the first day maybe more if you're enjoying it. As you get further into the story your xp per minute increases, at first your power may block you from advancing, eventually your level will. HUGE NOTE, your idle xp only holds EIGHT hours worth of xp, so you need to spend at least a few minutes 3x a day. Overall pretty easy, this didn't pay out for me, due to swapping devices back and forth the whole time, even buying a second monster to hope it would trigger, did pay out for several of my guild mates.
Potential 1764 visiore, takes about 8 days roughly. Takes awhile, but overall very easy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raid ShadowLegends - Make a 5 star hero, time limit 1 week. This one is actually very easy, whether you work or don't, I'd HIGHLY recommend this challenge... assuming you haven't already played this before. I recommend the archer character if you try this challenge, she has 2 aoe moves, and once built up with as much attack as you can, just obliterates and clears waves of monsters solo. You would just keep swapping other units to cap xp to evolve and be fodder for other units. The Hero going to 5 star needs 4 other 4 stars to eat to make this happen. Between the gearing page as you'll keep unlocking stuff, put what sets you can on, enhance to 10-15 as you feel safe. The tavern will be where you do all your extra leveling and merging to get that 5 star. You can get units from completing stages, and summon items. I think i had around 200 summon tickets over the entire journey. I cleared the story up to 5, and farmed the highest 4 stage as safely as possible (The forest). I've gotten at least 5 of my guildmates to do this challenge as it's by far the easiest in time of total time and what you actually do.
Potential 4536 visiore, took me 5 hours, yes you heard that right. Can be done hardcore in an evening, or slow it down and take a few days. Paid me before I finished swapping over.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game of Thrones: Conquest - Castle level 15, time limit 19? days. This one is of a high difficulty, and very time consuming, especially at the start. It's one of those build up your castle and raid others types of games. You start with 1 builder, can temp buy a second and third, you'll occasionally get items to give a second builder, never got a third, I used 500 coins 3x to keep the third builder going. Do note, that you can't be slick either, if the building you want takes 5 hours and your builder only had 3 hours left, you can't build that 5 hour upgrade, find something else. I HIGHLY recommend sending out armies to attack the monsters around the base, not the caravans, sure caravans will give materials for gear, but there's a LOT of material types, you'll never seem to get the ones you want. Monsters on the other hand you can get gold to speed up buildings, but almost always get construction speed ups, 1-4x 1min, 1x 5 min, or if lucky 1x60 min... Learn the upgrade that lets you send out a second squad, send out your armies to kill what you can. To be safe, have about 1k power higher than the mobs for clearing. In my 400~ attacks I gained about 10x 60 minute speed ups. I actually had enough gold coin through quest completions and killing monsters to buy my level 15 castle instantly otherwise 1 1/2 days. 3880? Iirc Save as MUCH of the item box food/wood/stone as possible until 13-15 to pick up your pace so you're not having to farm it as often.
Potential 3564 visiore, took 9 days, very intensive demands, easily crushed the 19~ 20? day challenge. (Might have been more time, it was way faster than need be) Paid me before I finished swapping over.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slots Caesars Free Casino Game - Complete level 100, time limit 19 days. This one isn't that difficult, but it is very monotonous, and if you aren't careful penniless. The game has lots of ways to get a little here, little there in case you had a bad day. Every 10 levels something new happens, 40 was a baby dragon you could feed for bonuses and get some money from for example... 50 was a very magical level, it opened this event that as you spun you gained treasure chests that had items to collect and fill slots, dupes added up and could convert to money, the higher the level the more it converted to... started around 400k, and at 95 was 1.2 mil for 100 dupe stars. Don't be scared to swap games for awhile if the current game isn't putting out, all the bonus challenges save your progress (for example, the damage done to the 3 little pigs houses, knock one down for a mini game). Also as a warning, this resets every time you log in, and on EVERY machine, but the starting bet is always something absurd, change it before you potentially lose out on a lot of money. The slots will let you auto 25/50/100/200 spins, but huge wins and some bonus games have popups that need to be X out of. So, keep your device nearby. Also, to level up you need xp (obviously), if you need 1 million xp to level, that means you need to spin 1 million coins worth... a 25k bet is +25k xp, you can get double xp bonuses, I usually ticked up my bets by 1 notch for the duration. A max bet is always double xp, doing this during a double xp bonus does not give you triple xp. In the 90s to finish I did a few 2 million bets, and won 15m in return, managed to clear the last 7 levels to finish at that point. Don't forget to cash in those dupe chests for $ when you need it.
Potential 2952 visiore, took 3 days, made level 40 the first day, 46 the second day (and made me question this...) and hit 102 with spare millions on the third day. Not exactly hard, but some luck to always keep that xp machine running. Paid me 19 hours later, I sent emails so I don't know if it "lagged" or my proof was enough.

  • Whatever device you start the offer on, must be done in its entirety. This also includes starting the game up after it's downloaded.
  • You don't need to link the game to any of your personal accounts (Fb, Google etc, some give incentives to do so)
  • 2 of 3 paid before I could swap over to WoTV. The third I thought may have failed and I emailed them, being paid 19~ hours later I assume it was not "lag", but my emails that gave sufficient information.
  • Notice some visiore amounts may differ from mine.
  • You can only do ONE challenge on a game, and NEVER do the same game again... so don't think you can stack up on the like 15 Raid Shadowlegends ones for example.
  • Timed offers give more than nontimed offers, I list a few that I personally did, but be aware that if you work or aren't committed, you can fail, losing any visiore.
  • Some of that was a huge wall of text, and sorry it's not better formatted. Kind of wanted to do this while it was still somewhat fresh.
  • Mileage will vary, some people will say it's too much time away from WoTV, nothing stopped me from running WoTV on Nox while doing the various challenges on my phone.

Be wary of the One Punch game, it is fairly fun, but many people have stated that the challenge vanishes from you wall, and even I'm one of them... I'll still push ahead to see if it pays out or not, we'll see, but I'm not very hopeful in that regard.
MysticSeedss - Some like one punch don't show up but still pay out. AFK arena did the same, (also a easy one) Both paid out but don't appear on my wall.
Great news for people that are playing either. Thanks!

Hope this helps even anyone who decides or has decided to take on some offers. I'll probably try others, but I need a break first. Any questions don't hesitate to post or pm me, I'll get back to them as I can, or edit this post if its a lot of the same stuff.

DKNG - Fundamental DD Part II - DKNG

Not Financial Advice (NFA)
Warning: Wall of Text. If you hate reading just skim through the bolded/italicized
Ever since I publicized my findings on DKNG, the stock has underperformed & probably has fucked a lot of people here, especially given the overly bullish stance back in June. Unless you took my advice & got into Puts then, congrats, welcome to tendie town. For the ADHD retards, here’s what the next wall of text is going to summarize: I believe at the current price of ~$30, the stock is oversold.
A tech-focused, high-growth Company that has made sports betting easy to understand with an aesthetically pleasing interface similar to how Robinhood has neatly laid out stock market gimmicks so even high-schoolers can make sense of it I believe, is underpriced at these levels.
Let’s get into some details as to why the stock has underperformed:
First off, the news slate revolving sports with the rumored delay/cancellation of the MLB season & the NFL watching from the sidelines is in my view, just a part of why the stock has underperformed. We’ll revisit this later in this post, but I want to focus on the drivers of the stock’s recent underperformance, & why these factors are now in the rearview mirror.
Part I – The Past Has Passed – SPAC-related Equity Dilution
History lesson first: DKNG went public via a SPAC merger, which has exploded in popularity recently. Anyone serious about analyzing stocks going forward needs to do their homework on this, Google is your friend.
A feature of most SPAC merger to public listings that creates a headwind to near-term share prices are embedded equity dilution events, usually in the form of earn-outs (stock bonuses to execs, the SPAC sponsor) & conversion of Warrants.
On 5/24, the earn-outs were triggered, adding 6m shares to the share count.
On 6/26, 16.3m warrants converted to DKNG, netting them ~$188m of cash.
Stepping back a little, in addition to the above, on 6/18 DKNG launched a follow-on equity offering of 16M shares @ $40/Share [1], receiving $621M in proceeds.
The last part is tricky to understand from a dilution perspective. To simplify, historically it’s almost a coin toss whether a Company’s shares outperform on the onset of an equity offering. While issuing shares does dilute the existing shareholder base, it theoretically shouldn’t, if the proceeds from the offering are earmarked for investments/projects that yield outsized returns. This is the reality for the long term, theory for the short-term. For the short-term, the ‘reality’ isn’t that the proceeds will be used for investments/projects that yield outsized returns, it is more about how convincing management is to investors that the investments they intend to pursue with the proceeds will outweigh the dilutive effects of issuing incremental shares. That’s a mouthful, but hopefully you get what I’m trying to convey.
All of this stuff put together – the Company has increased its share count by ~39M, but now has a whopping ~$1.4Bn of cash [2]. More on this in the next section.
Part II – MLB News Should Not Fucking Matter & DKNG Is Positioned As the Leading Online/Mobile Sports Platform
DKNG should not be so tied to MLB news or any of this shit as the ongoing success of the NBA/NHL season + Soccer in Europe has effectively created a blueprint on how to regulate player behavior so that they maintain professionalism amidst the pandemic. I’m going out on a whim here, but I truly think the MLB threatening a cancellation of the season is pure posturing to get these fuckers to behave appropriately. Maybe a ‘bubble’ is what it takes to get these players to focus on their jobs instead of going out & contracting COVID, but I argue that isn’t necessarily required given Soccer in Europe. So there’s already a proven path here without the need for a bubble in Soccer, so MLB/NFL should be fine, and execs need to study how they got it done in Europe. Okay, back to some facts.
Anecdotally, I’ve kept in touch with a handful of sports bookies from California to New York & even internationally about what they’re seeing – all of them say that since the NBA season started on 7/30 & since Soccer (especially the Premier League) resumed in June, along with other leagues like La Liga & Serie A, they’ve seen massive increases in betting.
These numbers are also showing up in the official data [3]:
REMEMBER: This is for June only! No NBA, No NHL, No MLB, just Soccer, Golf, NASCAR & UFC.
The data clearly shows that there was a ton of pent-up sports betting demand, which leads one Wall St. analyst to think that betting on the NBA/NHL could ABSORB the MLB’s sports betting handle (handle = total $ size of sports bet) [5]. Remember, the MLB season is still ongoing, with games being played. The entire focus is on the Miami Marlins & St. Louis Cardinals. Fucking retards.
Additionally, I want to remind everyone that DraftKings.com is the #1 Fantasy sports website in the U.S. [6]. Also, since April 2020 site visitations are up +86% [7] & Google Search Trends for “Draft Kings” is up ~3x compared to PRE-COVID levels [8]. What does this mean? They are piquing more people’s curiosity than prior to COVID/ongoing slate of sports.
This is important because remember that ~$1.4Bn chest full of cash I mentioned DKNG had assembled earlier? Well, that money is being put to work & results are already coming in, which is exactly what DKNG intended to do with it.
Part III – Legalization of Sports Betting in the U.S.
I could write a fucking bible on this topic alone, but for now we’ll stick to some basics. Due to COVID, it’s easy to understand that each State’s financial situation is clearly in shit. Because of this, you better believe that these guys are going to start taking a hard look at how they can extract additional tax revenues, & what’s one of the easiest ways to do this? Legalization & taxation of gambling.
The big players: CA, TX, FL & NY. First, CA pushing its legislation out to 2023 was fucked up, but here’s a twist I want to add to this: Anything that has to do with gambling in CA you better believe is lobbied against by not just the Tribal casino owners in CA, but by the deep pockets of Las Vegas money. Similar thing can be said for FL, but let’s take a look at some actions by LV/nationwide gambling companies that are starting to align financial incentives with guys like DKNG.
So it’s safe to say going forward, nationwide legalization of sports betting will reap rewards for everyone involved, & no longer be something LV money is completely focused on safeguarding.
Let’s also not forget that DKNG didn’t become the Company they are today because of their fancy app, but because their management team has a HISTORY of navigating the U.S.’s legal framework to get what they want out of it.
These guys are at the cutting edge of creating legal frameworks to successfully launch their products & now with more of their ‘competitors’ financially aligned with them, combined with financial deterioration of State budgets, we should see an overweighting of good news vs. bad on the legal front.
Final Part – Share Price Targets
Under-fucking priced at anything below $42.50
Near-term catalysts:
8/14: DKNG files 2Q’20 results, might be shitty, but you can bet that the Earnings Call is going to contain rhetoric on how massive the uptick in sports betting has been since late June/July.
Sometime from now until November: NY releases ‘study’ by Spectrum Gaming on online/mobile sports betting.
8/20 – 9/7: PGA Championship for FedEx Cup Title
9/5 – KY Derby
9/10: NFL KickOff Game
9/17: PGA U.S. Open Start Date
Month of October: NBA/NHL Playoffs
10/1: Estimated launch of online sports betting in TN
11/1: Estimated launch of online sports betting in VA

My Offerwall Experience

My Offerwall Experience
I'm not here trying to encourage everyone to start doing the offer wall games, or start a discussion about Gumi's shady tactics. I am just wanting to share what my personal experience has been like trying to earn Visiore with the offer wall.
I started out Day 1 as a F2P, and only became a minnow to buy the daily visiore for WoL shards. It's not that I don't have the money to blow on this game. I just have other priorities that I need my income to go to, but enjoy WoTV enough to continue playing. When offerwall first showed up, I thought it was another attempt for Gumi to scam us. However after reading the thread from u/tuffymon, I was tempted to give it a try. See his threads here:
https://www.reddit.com/wotv_ffbe/comments/hymb6b/offerwall_revisited/
https://www.reddit.com/wotv_ffbe/comments/i1gnom/offerwall_revisted_part_2/
Over the course of 2 weeks, I amassed 17k visiore (with more to come) playing a total of 8 games. This additional vis allowed me to not only pull but MLB WoL within a week. As a F2P/minnow,I never thought I would be able to MLB a limited-time unit.
As far as time commitment for offerwall games, challenges generally took 3-7 days to complete and ~1-2 hours per day. The games can be divided into 3 types.
  1. Base builders (GoT, State of Survival, Star Trek) - These initially take 4-5 hours to get started, and will require 1 hour a day afterward to keep the ball rolling. Takes around 4-5 days to complete. They can be quite fun if you are into those types of games. High payout.
  2. Auto-leveling games (Idle Heroes, AFK arena) - About an hour a day for up to 3-4 days total. The game will auto generate EXP for you, and you only need to login to collect EXP and advance to a stage that will give more EXP. Easy but lower payout.
  3. Casino games (Coin Master, Pop Slots) - Except for coin master and Pop slots, very luck based. Coin Master is an easier type of casino game and i will probably finish it in less than 3 days with 30-minutes to hour each day. Pop slots is more traditional casino game, but there is a website that gives away millions of chips for free. The other games I've tried (Billionaire, Caesars) are luck based, and I'm not sure I want to continue although there is a high payout.
I have read that there have been complaints with not getting paid out for the work. So far, every single attempt has paid me ::fingers crossed:: In an attempt to avoid not getting paid I made sure to stick to certain practices.
  1. Stick to one device (non-emulator) for all offerwall games.
  2. When you sign up for a game, install and open it right away.
  3. When it's time to complete the challenge, don't have WoTV open on any other devices. Open WoTV on the offerwall device. I have always been paid within minutes of completing my challenge.
  4. If a game disappears from offerwall after signing up, the challenge is still active and pays out after completion.
My hope is that by the time the FFT part 2 event rolls around, I will have enough visiore saved to MLB another limited time unit. I really felt like I missed out when I wasn't able to pull Cid on the last FFT banner. After that I plan take a break on offerwall challenges and go back to my regular pace of playing WoTV. Offerwall games can be time consuming, but also fun and rewarding.

A Beginner's Guide
PJJ is a game based on the popular manga/anime JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. In the game, you get abilities called stands, complete quests, and fight enemies/other players. Scroll down to get started.
When you join, you'll have little cash and no stand. First, you want to find the wooden dummies. They are near one of the spawnpoints, just explore the map and you'll find them. You want to continuously punch the dummies, and get 3500 cash. Killing a wooden dummy grants 50 cash. If you get a level, press M and check your stats. Put all your stat points into Power for now, as this increases your attack power. Don't worry, you can reset your stat points later in the game.
When you have 3500 cash, then go to the shop and buy a stand arrow. The stand arrow will appear at the bottom of your screen, and use it quickly before you get killed, as items get lost if you die in this game. Press M and hover over the "Ability" button to see your stand. Mash the buttons on your keyboard to see what your stand does. You can also pick up arrows from the floor, they spawn every 5 minutes.
Here is the rarity tier for stands - check how rare your stand is:
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/project-jojo/images/5/5e/Unknown0.png/revision/latest?cb=20200406193200

Items
Items are things in the game that you can use. You can carry some, and some disappear when you click them. The stand arrow is an example of an item. Please note that items disappear when you go to Italy, leave the server, or die. Many people buy the "Gucci Bag" gamepass as you can store items in there and they will not disappear when you leave the server or die.
List of items and their uses:
Stand Arrow: Used to give a stand to standless players.
Cost: 3500$ in the shop
Spawn rate: Every 5 minutes in Morioh
Despawns? Yes.

Rokakaka Fruit: Used to delete a current stand.
Cost: 500$ in the shop
Spawn rate: Every 5 minutes at a 1/5 chance, spawns at Rokakaka Trees near centre.
Despawns? Yes.

Requiem Arrow: Gives the Requiem spec, which gives a 25% stat boost.
Cost: N/A
Spawn rate: ITALY ONLY - Every 7 minutes at a 1/6 chance to spawn.
Despawns? Yes.

Stone Rokakaka: Used to give the Stone Human spec, now is the main component in fusions.
Cost: N/A
Spawn rate: Every 40 minutes with a 1/4 chance.
Despawns? Yes.

Wrench: When clicked by a player with no stand, gives the stand Cyborg.
Cost: N/A
Spawn rate: Unknown, but estimated to be similar to Gyro.
Despawns? Yes.

Vampire Mask:
Cost: 15,000$ in the shop.
Spawn rate: Every 15 minutes at a 1/5 chance
Despawns? Unknown.

Red Aja: Used to create Aja Mask, and will disappear from your inventory if doing Jotaro Kujo's second quest.
Cost: N/A
Spawn rate: Every hour at a 1/3 chance, in both Morioh and Italy. Dropped at a 1/3 chance when killing Kira.
Despawns? Yes.

Aja Mask: Grants the ULF spec, but when used on Kars, grants the stand Ultimate Lifeform.
Cost: N/A
Spawn rate: ITALY ONLY - Every hour at a 1/10 chance. Can be created by talking to Jotaro Kujo with a Red Aja and a Vampire Mask in your inventory.
Despawns? Yes.

To get better, you need to grind cash. Wooden dummies have an extremely fast spawn rate, so they are ideal for grinding coins. Continue to use a rokakaka fruit to delete your stand, and then use an arrow again. Only stop once you get either a tier 5 or higher, or either The Sun or Ratt.
You can find many tutorials on the Internet teaching you how to use Ratt and The Sun properly for farming, so I won't go into detail about it.

NPC's
You might have seen a NPC (non player character) while playing. What are they? To explain, we'll have to seperate them into different categories.

Dummies
Dummies are NPC's that don't move. They come in varying health and abilities. All dummies give 50 cash when defeated.
Wooden Dummy: The worst dummy in the game, but ideal for cash farming.
Ice Dummy: Slightly better, and what The Sun users farm with.
Stone Dummy: Found in the caves below Hyperspace Dummy, an average dummy.
Metal Dummy: Found at most of the spawns, has 1500 HP.
Giant Dummy: Found at the school near Jotaro Kujo, objective of the quest A Huge Issue, has 50,000 HP.
Titan Dummy: Found around the map, as tall as a building. Has 1 million health.
Hyperspace Dummy: Found above the cave with the Stone Dummies, changes color. Can dodge almost every attack and has 150,000 HP.
Ultimate Dummy: Found above the waterfall. Has 100,000 HP, but nearly impossible to kill as he regenerates half his max HP every second. There is only one per server, and it does not respawn.
ITALY-Holy Dummy: Found in Italy. Takes 1/2 damage and gives 0.5% worthiness when killed. Has 75,000 HP.
ITALY-Space Dummy: Found in Italy. Takes 1/10 damage and gives a lot of EXP.
ITALY-Rubber Dummy: Found in Italy. Reflects almost all attacks back to the user. Has 1,000 HP.

Enemies
Enemies are NPC's who can be killed, but they attack you. They aren't considered to be bosses, but they are generally weak for a high-level.
Evil Stone Free User: Uses the stand Stone Free. Has more HP than Evil Star Platinum User.
ITALY-Evil Star Platinum User: Uses the stand Star Platinum Prime. Has less HP than Evil Stone Free User.

Quest Givers
There are several types of quest givers. The main quest givers, with the quest name floating above their heads, give a quest bar on the side when you click on them. You can only take 1 quest at a time, and quest progress does not save. They are basic NPC's, staying in the same position and offering no dialogue.
The other type of quest givers, in which there are only 2 in Morioh, the main map, have dialogue and their quests do not appear as a quest bar at the side. You can take a normal quest and one of these at the same time. Quests from the more "intelligent" NPC's are usually harder and quest progress for them does save. Jotaro Kujo, one of these 2 quest givers, is located behind the school. The other, Gyro Zeppeli, is located in the train station at the centre. Both of them unlock vital parts of the game, including rare items and another map to go to.

Spec Givers:
Spec givers give specs, which will be explained later. Spec givers have a random spawn rate and spawn around Morioh. They give no dialogue and you will automatically get the spec when clicking on them, so be careful.

Bosses:
Bosses are NPC's that can be defeated and will fight you, and they are much stronger than the other enemies, with some of them having a health pool of 1M+.
Here is the list of bosses, from weakest to strongest:
Kira Yoshikage
HP: Unknown
Spawn rate: Every half an hour to 2 hours
Drops: Red Aja, Requiem Arrow, and Stone Rokakaka at a 1/3 chance each
Notes: When Kira spawns, she will throw high-damage bombs that will hit you. If you die randomly from a explosion, Kira might be there. Kira can only be found near the Ice Lake. Uses the stand Killer Queen.

DIO
HP: 1,200,000
Spawn rate: Every half an hour to an hour
Drops: 1/10 chance to drop DIO's Diary, 9/10 chance to give 100% worthiness instead
Despawns? Unknown.
Notes: Uses the stand The World and spams time-stop. Can steal HP from players to heal himself.

Diavolo
HP: Unknown
Spawn rate: Every half an hour to an hour in Italy
Drops: Always drops a Corpse Part.
Despawns? Yes.
Notes: Uses the stand King Crimson.

Notorious B.I.G
HP: Over 1 million
Spawn rate: When the B.I.G meter is filled with 10 stand arrows
Despawns? Yes.
Notes: Grows bigger and does more damage and has more range with every player it kills.

Worth Guide

If you use an arrow and get, say, a tier 6 Star Platinum, then if you have 100 worth, you have a 100% chance of getting a tier 7 as your rank got boosted by 1. If I had 50% worth instead of 100%, then there would be a 50% chance that I would get a tier 7 instead.
I would also lose 10% worthiness, as whenever you use an arrow, you lose 10% worthiness. The maximum worthiness you can get is 100, in which you would be able to get at least a tier 2 stand.
The glowing diary and bone that spawns around the map gives 10% and 5% worth respectively. The quests A Huge Issue (gives 5% worth, at school) and Assault The Titans (near river, gives 10% worth) are some quests that give worth.
DIO, who has an half an hour to an hour spawn rate, spawns near the Casino in Morioh and has 1,200,000 HP. Basically a Titan Dummy, but said Titan Dummy will spam timestop and steal your HP.
9/10 of the time, you get 100 worthiness and that can be seen in the form of a white aura arounf your character. If you don't get the white aura or if you see a diary on the floor where DIO died, you've gotten DIO's diary, a rare item that can reset subspecs or ascend certain stands (it can be used to make MiH, TWOH, and SPOH).

Italy

Another map that you can access by completing Gyro Zeppeli's quest. Diavolo, Space Dummy, Enrico Pucchi, Holy Dummy, Rubber Dummy, and Evil Star Platinum User can be found here. Rare items like the Aja Mask have a chance of spawning here.

Specs
Specs are basically a sort of sub-stand, and in some situations, you can have 2-3? specs and a stand. Some specs like Hamon can be used without a stand, and some sub-stands can affect which stand you get from an arrow or are a requirement to get a specific stand.
List of specs (may be incomplete)
Hamon - Gives a boost in stats. This subspec can be bought in the shop for $15,000, but using Hamon is not generally reconmended unless testing it on a disposable stand or attempting to get Caesar's Hamon, as there are much better subspecs.
Vampire - Makes the stand Vampiric. Can be gotten by a Vampire Mask, which spawns around the map and can be bought at the shop for $15,000. Vampiric is considered to be even worse than Hamon for some as even though it makes all attacks heal the user, it takes high damage when exposed to sunlight.
Blessing - A blessing is obtained by using a Corpse Part, which is only obtainable by killing Diavolo in Italy. There are many different blessings, like Exalted, which prevents all damage by posing. Note that you cannot do a fusion while you have a blessing on your stand.
ULF (Ultimate) - Gives a 25% boost in stats and makes vampires immune to the sunlight and take normal damage from Hamon.
Spin: Has its own set of abilities without a stand. With a stand, it gains a power boost when the meter is charged up?
Stands that can only be gotten by using specs
Purple Hermit: Has purple-like vines tangled around its arms. Can attack with arms and swing around like Spiderman.
Ball Breaker: Obtained by using an Arrow when you have the Spin spec with no stand.

Starting Out:
If you've just started Project JoJo, this is my guide.
What if you decided to get the 500$ instead? Well, instead of buying a Stand Arrow, you need to get the stand "Shotgun" from the store. It may be a weak ability, but it helps you complete quests.
What is a "Rokakaka Fruit"?
A rokakaka fruit, or commonly referred to as a "ro ka" due to Roblox's chat filter, is a red, spiky fruit that you can find around a spiky, thin plant with a green leaf on top. When you hold this item out, you can either redistribute your stat points, or delete your stand pernamently. Remember that any stands that are tier 5 or over are generally considered "good" by the majority, with some exceptions lower than tier 5. Rokakaka fruits can also be bought from the shop for 500$.
The next step is to grind, grind, and grind again.
NPC's:
You may see specific NPC's around the map in random places. We'll be talking about the different types of NPC's here.
Quest Givers:
Spec Givers
These are randomly spawning NPC's around the map. They also are a vital part of the game, but I won't be talking about them in this guide. However, note that Gyro, one of the spec givers, looks exactly like Gyro Zeppeli.
Stand Storage
If you go in the restaurant near the centre, you will meet Enrico Pucchi inside. He can store a stand that you want to keep, and he has 9 slots. Note that you need 500$ to use the Stand Storage. You also need at least 5% worthiness to access the Stand Storage, but using it does not deduct your worthiness. More about worthiness is in the next section.
Bosses
DIO - Drops DIO's diary, gives worth, spawns every 30 min - 1 hr
Kira - Drops either Red Aja - Stone Roka - Requiem Arrow at a 1/3 chance each, 3 minute despawn time, 30 minutes - 2 hours spawn time
Notourious B.I.G - Gives access to Italy when doing Gyro Zeppeli's quest, drops $5000 ~ $10000?
Diavolo - Drops a Corpse Part, spawns in Italy every 30 min - 2 hr, despawns in an unknown amount of time
Worth Guide:
If you use an arrow and get, say, a tier 6 Star Platinum, then if you have 100 worth, you have a 100% chance of getting a tier 7 as your rank got boosted by 1. If I had 50% worth instead of 100%, then there would be a 50% chance that I would get a tier 7 instead.
I would also lose 10% worthiness, as whenever you use an arrow, you lose 10% worthiness. The maximum worthiness you can get is 100, in which you would be able to get at least a tier 2 stand.

Dummies:
Wooden Dummy: The worst dummy in the game, but ideal for cash farming.

Evil NPC's
Evil Stone Free User: Uses the stand Stone Free. Has more HP than Evil Star Platinum User.
Evil Star Platinum User: Found in Italy. Uses the stand Star Platinum Prime. Has less HP than Evil Stone Free User.
All items
Rokakaka Fruit: Resets your stand/stat points.
Stand Arrow: Gives you a stand.
Wrench: When clicked on with no stand, gives you the stand Cyborg.
Diary: Gives 10% worth when clicked on.
Bone: Gives 5% worth when clicked on.
Cash Pile: Gives 300 cash when clicked, 500 when collected with the stand Harvest.
Red Aja: Used in Jotaro Kujo's 2nd quest, also used to make Aja Mask.
Aja Mask: Spawns in Italy. Can be created by talking to Jotaro Kujo with a Red Aja and Vampire Mask in your inventory. Gives the ULF spec to stands, or if used on Kars, gives the stand Ultimate Lifeform.
Stone Rokakaka: Used to give the Stone Human subspec, now is the major component in fusions.
Rebirth Arrow: Got removed.
Requiem Arrow: Gives the Requiem spec, which gives a 25% boost in stats.

Spin: Has its own set of abilities without a stand. With a stand, it gains a power boost when the meter is charged up?
Stands that can only be gotten by using specs

Interview with playing card manipulator and magician Jeff McBride

Interview with playing card manipulator and magician Jeff McBride
WHO IS JEFF MCBRIDE?
Chances are you are reading this article because you already have some interest in playing cards. So maybe you've already heard of the name Jeff McBride. If you have, you'll already be familiar with his credentials, so you'll be itching to get straight the good stuff and read what he's got to say, because you know it's going to be worth reading.
But if you haven't heard of Jeff McBride before, let me tell you why this interview is a must-read: ● Are you into card magic? Jeff has been doing card magic his whole life, and is one of the very best in the world at card manipulation and sleight of hand. He has also been running his famous Magic & Mystery School for over 30 years. ● Are you into cardistry? Jeff's instructional Art of Card Manipulation videos were some of the foundational materials that shaped fathers of the cardistry movement like Dan and Dave Buck. Card manipulation is his speciality, and if there's anyone that we can learn a thing or two about card handling from, it's him. ● Are you into card collecting? Jeff's entire career has been built with a deck of cards in his hands, and he also collects some playing card memorabilia himself.
So if you are a playing card enthusiast in any way, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn from one of the greatest living card men. We were delighted when Jeff agreed to do this interview with us, and couldn't wait to hear some of his thoughts about various topics relating to his own career with playing cards. We even got opportunity to visit him at his own place, and take some photos of his memorabilia and more, which we have permission to show our readers for the first time! But first let's share some of his credentials, so that we can appreciate what he has to say in the context of his own accomplishments and achievements.

Jeff McBride the Performer
Jeff McBride has had a love for magic that goes back to his childhood in New York's Catskill mountains, where he grew up. As a young boy he stumbled across The Golden Book of Magic in a library, which quickly became his first magic Bible. He performed gigs locally, did street performances, and eventually moved to Las Vegas, where he successfully built a career in magic, and performs his award-winning stage magic and runs a magic school.
His performance style is highly praised for its unique blend of traditional magic with a form of Japanese theater called kabuki. Drawing on an unusual mix of skills that includes martial arts, philosophy, and more, Jeff's stage act combines an unorthodox blend of sleight of hand with masks and mime, to create a unique show like no other. Besides his "home" stage in Las Vegas, he's performed on stages and in theaters around the world, including touring with The Illusionists. A Jeff McBride show never fails to showcase his dynamic, innovative, and creative personality, from someone who has proven himself over time to be a master entertainer, showman, and sleight-of-hand artist.
Jeff McBride's list of awards is too lengthy to cover all of them. But to mention just a few, he's received recognition from exclusive and respected organizations, including "Magician of the Year" by The Magic Castle's The Academy of Magic Arts and "Magician of the Year" by the Society of American Magicians. In 2018 the International F?d?ration Internationale des Societes Magiques (FISM) gave him their "Theory & Philosophy Special Award", in tribute for his lifetime contribution to magic from a viewpoint that is analytical and academic. This illustrious award has previously been given only to Tommy Wonder, Juan Tamariz, Eugene Burger, and Roberto Giobbi. Most recently in January 2020 he was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame by the Society of American Magicians. He is part of a very small group of living magicians that are part of this exclusive club, which includes David Copperfield and Siegfried and Roy. He's even the holder of three world records - don't worry, we'll be sure to ask him about that in our interview!
And of course he has appeared on television many times, already back in 1995 as part of the "World's Greatest Magic, and more recently on shows like Masters of Illusion, Criss Angel's Mindfreak, and Penn & Teller's Fool Us. But he's not just "another magician", as his selection as a judge for the 2008 reality celebrity-magic show Celebradabra confirms. Already more than ten years ago filmmakers produced a documentary about him, entitled Jeff McBride: A Magickal Life. This has been highly praised by magicians and viewers for how it shows his journey from a boy magician to a headline act in Las Vegas, and also his personal spiritual journey and development from a brash young man into a mature and caring magician who is keen to pass on the art of magic to the next generation. He really is one of the best.
Jeff McBride the Teacher
While the first part of his career was all about performing in his inimitable style, as the years have passed Jeff McBride has more and more mellowed into a highly respected teacher, with a keen interest in sharing his wisdom with others, and helping young magicians develop their skills in magic. Besides many written works, he's produced best-selling and highly influential instructional videos on the art of card manipulation, and on stage magic. His current passion is to serve as a sage that helps other magicians make their dreams as performers come true.
Perhaps his crowning achievement and lasting legacy is the McBride Magic & Mystery School, which he established in 1991. This is a world-renowned training ground for stage magic, and is generally regarded as the very best and most prestigious institution in the world for receiving magic instruction. There's simply no better place for aspiring magicians to go, in order to take seminars, classes, and workshops, to help raise their magic to a higher level, and to learn the true secrets of the craft.
Highly respected magician and lecturer Eugene Burger (pictured below with Jeff McBride) served as Dean of this school until his sad passing in 2017. It was from him that Jeff learned the importance of burning one end of your own candle in order to light someone else's candle. Many leading magicians have served on the faculty or as guest instructors, including big names like Lance Burton, Johnny Thompson, and Max Maven.
Jeff McBride is a wonderful entertainer himself, but his current passion is to be a mentor to others, and he will leave a lasting stamp in the lives of many magicians of the future. But now it's time for us to sit at his feet, and learn a thing or two from his life, and about his experiences with playing cards in particular.

THE INTERVIEW
GENERAL BACKGROUND
For those who don't know anything about you, what can you tell us about yourself and your background?
I started my career with a pack of playing cards. Now I headline Las Vegas shows, and theaters and festivals all over the world. I also run a very successful magic school in Las Vegas, and I teach online.
I am one of the first magic teachers to create a video series, and my breakthrough videos on card manipulation taught the world how to perform flourishes and card manipulation, which happened to grow into a new cardistry movement. I was fortunate enough to train with great old-school masters and I put out The Art of Card Manipulation which caught on in Asia. The material contained within those DVDs - they were VHS videos at that time - did not need words to understand how to perform the magic, so they had international appeal. Many people like An Ha Lim and leading Asian manipulators found these, and my videos were their original training tools.
What would be some of the highlights in your career in magic?
Performing at Radio City Music Hall, the largest theater in the world with no screen support, no image magnification, and performing my card manipulation routine. The only other person that had that experience was Cardini. That was one of the highlights.
And of course, being inducted into the Society of American Magicians Hall of Fame. Also winning the FISM Special Award for Theory and Philosophy was a highlight. That's an award I share with Tommy Wonder, Juan Tamariz, and Eugene Burger.
How would you describe the style of the amazing act that you are known for?
I call it "sorcerer" style, which is very fiery and dynamic. There are many types of card routines, and mine is very explosive and dynamic. In fact during my touring seasons with the hit show The Illusionists, the closing number of the show was my card routine, just before the snow storm sequence. So my card routine can fill a giant theater. At that time of The Illusionists we were working a 7,000 seat theater. So my motto was "pack small, play big."
What were your major influences for this style of performance?
My influences came from many directions. I realized early on that performing standard magic was not a path to success. It was a path to working weddings, bar mitzvahs and birthday parties. In order to break out, I had to become a much more dynamic performer and I added other skillsets I had studied, like classic pantomime theater, which I'd studied at the American Mime Theater. I combined martial arts and my passion for masks and quick change, and dance. And it was this fusion of all of these different theatrical elements that made a huge difference. It was much more than magic, it was a total theatrical experience.
Where can people go to see you perform today?
I teach magic on a platform called MagicFlix. There's performances and tutorials. It's the world's leading streaming platform for magic. So you can immediately see me there. If you want to trial it, all you have to do is go to MagicFlix's website, enter your information, and put in the code MCBRIDE, and you can get 30 days for free. You can see not only myself, but the great masters of magic, and some of the great card magicians in history, as well as learn my card manipulation sequences.
Also if you want to see my live shows, I perform in Las Vegas at Wonderground, which is the longest running independent variety magic show in the history of Las Vegas. It is not attached to a casino, so we can do some pretty wild stuff! That's been running 11 years, and has hosted more variety entertainers on its stage than any other stage in Las Vegas.
What should we know about the McBride Magic & Mystery School, which has now been running for around 30 years?
It's now over 30 years. The McBride Magic and Mystery School came out of a great desire to study with masters. The challenge I see these days is that most people are learning magic from their peers, from people in their own age group. And not necessarily looking up the ladder at masters that have achieved great amounts of success.
So what I did 30 years ago, is I decided to host a retreat for masters to come and teach hungry students, mostly professionals, that were willing to empty their cup and fill up on wisdom and on the experience of great masters. And over the years we've had Eugene Burger, Johnny Thompson, Max Maven and many, many other masters come to the school to help our students understand the path to mastery. So not just learning from your pals online or at magic class, but really top-down training from experts in the field.
What are some of your interests outside of magic?
I spend a lot of time going to other conferences learning more skills on how to facilitate life-transforming experiences. So I spend a lot of time still studying how to teach more effectively, both in person and online.

PLAYING CARDS & CARD MANIPULATION
You have set several Guinness World Records. What can you tell us about these?
I have three Guinness World Records, two of them for coin rolling, and one of them for card spinning. My Guinness World Record certificate states that I was able to "single handedly spin or scale a record of 106 playing cards within 60 seconds." That was set in 2004 for speed, for card throwing.
You are known for your skill in card manipulation. How would you distinguish magic from cardistry?
When they're fused together, they're indistinguishable, because of the flow state. Here are some flourishes, here are some card tricks - I think it can be seamlessly blended together. When I watch young cardists out there, I'm just amazed by the things that I see them doing these days. I'm totally delighted, and it's magical for me. Magicians that call cardistry "juggling" are just not getting what it's about. It's about entering a flow state, mastering these series of moves, and then pushing the envelope, until you have many of these different flourishes that you can string together seamlessly. That's the elegance of it.
What is one piece of work you have released that you'd like to be remembered by, or which might be of interest to the playing card enthusiast?
Anybody that watches Jeff McBride The Art of Card Manipulation will see how I researched all of the old school material and the stuff that I'd learned in my generation, and put it all together in one place. Those are the videos that the Buck twins - Dave and Dan - saw. Many of the people that first started card manipulation and cardistry saw me on those World's Greatest Magic specials back in the '90s that were filmed at Caesar's Palace. This was one of the first modern versions of card manipulation on TV.
So I think my series on The Art of Card Manipulation imprinted a lot of young magicians, young card handlers, and then the cardistry movement. I was not singularly responsible for that, but The Art of Card Manipulation was definitely essential fuel for it, because it was the most comprehensive card manipulation series ever put out.

https://preview.redd.it/5ash99izm8751.jpg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52c31807a991f4e9e1243fa288d3e9453c0265e3
What advice would you give to a young person just starting to learn card magic or card manipulation?
Learn from your pals, but study in person with a great master. It will shave years off your learning curve.
Do you have any thoughts about the current boom in cardistry, and how this has become immensely popular in recent years?
The deck of cards is a great equalizer, isn't it? Here you have 52 objects, and now all you have to do is add your creativity and countless hours of practice and commitment to perfection. It's not like you can buy it. Acquiring the next magic illusion is quite different than acquiring the next impossible flourish with cards. You just can't do it, it has to come from the heart and soul. That's why I think cardistry became such a phenomenon. It doesn't have any language barriers, cultural barriers, or status barriers. All that separates one from being average or great is the commitment to perfection, artistry, and beauty.
What brand/type playing cards did you first use when you started magic and card manipulation?
I used every card I could get my hands on. There were bridge-size decks for card fanning that would have four different colors or four different patterns, so you could get the different color fans out of them. Really good fanning decks are sorely lacking today; I very rarely see any of these new decks being good fanning decks. But I would collect every thin card I could possibly find at that time. Very few people at that time were making flesh colored cards. Sometimes you had to strip cards down, and then paint them flesh colored, and use lots of powder to make them fan again.
Early on I used Crusaders, because in my teens that's what Jeff Sheridan was using, so I used Crusaders that you could get at Woolworth's. Bee cards are okay, but when they reach a certain age they just crack. A lot of the `old school' used and swore by the old Denver Plaids and the old Steamboats. So when I was in my tens and early teens (11-15 years old), there was a lot of Steamboats, and in my later teens I used Crusaders.
What brand/type playing cards do you mostly use today?
I switched over to my own brand, when I had my own cards printed by Phoenix (my cards are available on my site here). Phoenix really pays attention to their cutting and I'm very fond of Phoenix brand cards published by Christian Schenk from Card-Shark.
What do you think are the essential qualities of a good deck of playing cards?
The ability to fan them out of the pack, and their ability to faro shuffle. Those are the two prime ingredients. That they don't need fanning powder. That they're not too slippery, so you don't have to work with them too long to get the finish off, and that they faro well. I'm mostly a stage performer, and I do close up as well. I love some of the decks that you have, with the very whimsical face designs. But for me it's the way the cards handle more than the way they look.
Has the quality of playing cards has improved over the years?
Oh, absolutely. Absolutely the quality has improved over the years. The finishes these days and the deck designs are just incredible.

https://preview.redd.it/id4atnfzm8751.jpg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf896d04ba78224e254e20a37041bbbc1b589d74
What are your thoughts on the explosion of custom playing cards that we are seeing today?
For me personally, I don't see enough nice fanning decks. I would collect them, but they're not out there.
I think the next step for card collectors is: how do you store and display them? The serious person will start to make floor to ceiling displays for walls of cards with a giant ladder, like a library so you can have these decks on display. I've seen some people have little wall panels that will hold 20 decks or so, but how about something like a turning rack, like the racks for displaying CDs or a turning poster rack? If somebody could come up with some sort of system.
And now we have some place to display them and take them out, then the great question is: do I take them out of the box, or are they just sealed? Or do I always have to buy two decks - one to play with, one to keep sealed? I see people doing both.
However I have yet to see a really beautiful card collection display that goes beyond `decks in a drawer', or `decks on a wall', or `decks on a tabletop'. If you consider these cards art (and they are - the back designs and the front designs are art), how do you display this art? How do you put it in a frame, and how do you appreciate it? Do you put it in a shoebox and say "Here's my card collection"? Do you have it in a little wall display of 20 decks and say "Here are my 20 decks"?
What impact has crowdfunding like Kickstarter had on the custom playing card industry and collecting?
People feel part of the creation, and feel like they can be patrons of the art. It's like: "Oh, I can be part of this, I can be part of this creative process, I can be a co-collaborator." So that's a good thing that I'll say about it. People support what they help create, and people feel like they're helping create art. I think we need more people that are patrons of the arts. And playing cards is a very good way to share your wealth, and support other people's creative enterprises.
Do you recommend performing magicians get their own branded custom deck of playing cards?
Absolutely. But it depends on what impression you want to make. Some people like to use regular cards because they look very normal. I use my own cards because they're very special, and they have my name on them. If somebody looks at my cards, they'll say, "Wow, Jeff has his own brand of playing cards, he must be very good." You can drive a car, but you can design and manufacture your own car. Who do you deem more magical? Probably the person that's designed their own car.
And when I throw my cards into the audience, it's not the end of my show. It's the beginning of an adventure, because on the back the card it says: "Every card has a special meaning. To discover this card's secret, you have to go to my website." So now they have to go on this mysterious quest to find out the meaning of their card. It's a tarot information site. And when they get to my website after they catch one of my special cards, now they have an opportunity to pick an email address of a friend, and throw that card around the world to them. So I'm continuing the tradition that got me into magic; I'm throwing a card out and saying, "Here, pick this card." And they pick up that card in the audience, and hopefully it will take them on a magical adventure for the rest of their lives.
How many decks or cards have I gone through throughout the years? Tens of thousands. I go through at least two decks a show, for tens of thousands of shows.
Do you personally collect playing cards?
I'm not manic about it, but I collect good fanning decks. If a particular design of a more standard deck hits my radar, I'll pick it up. I like some of your decks, they're very beautiful.
Sometimes it's the box - it makes a statement. Sometimes the card box is the tuxedo for the cards. So the card box in my opinion has a lot to do with matching the performer's style and creating an aesthetic for the magical performance.
And it's even how you take the cards out of the box. If you read Roberto Giobbi's books, he's got very special ideas on how to remove the cards from the box, and how the box is put away. The Dean of the Mystery School teaches what he feels is the proper way to present a pack of cards out of your pocket, remove it from the deck gracefully, and place the box away. There are more refined ways to present a deck of cards to people than just tossing a box of cards on the table.
A deck of cards is a wonderful, mysterious, enchanting object. Fortunes are won and lost, and lives have come and gone on the turn of a single playing card. I live in Las Vegas, which is a town that was built on playing cards, divination systems, dice, and spinning wheels of fortune. Cards have an incredibly deep history and connection to mystery, and they're inherently very mysterious. So it's no wonder how people are attracted to their many different manifestations these days, whether it's a special box, or a back design, or a limited edition.

Do you use playing cards for anything besides card magic and card manipulation?
I give very extensive workshops on the history of Tarot. We have an extraordinary collection of Tarot decks here, and also Tarot books. We also collected the greatest Tarot teachers from around the world to come and teach every year at the Las Vegas Tarot Summit.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I did an entire performance based on two cards. I did an off-Broadway show called Mask of the Mystic, and it was about two playing cards: the Magician card and the Fool card of the Tarot. I had originally designed an entire show around the Major Arcana of the Tarot cards back in the '80s, with a performance piece for each and every card. But the show was so dense with symbolism and meaning and complex, that I decided to keep it to just the first two cards. I played the Magician card, and a juggler named Michael Marlon played the Fool card, the innocent. There was a great dynamic between a trickster and an all too serious mage wizard character, and it was about the relationship between being blissfully ignorant, and being overly-fixated on the symbolism and meaning of magic.
That really sums up the experience with playing cards. Playing cards can be used for gambling. They can be used as a pastime to pass the time and play solitaire. They can be used for card magic. They can be used for cardistry. And for me, a deck of playing cards is a magic carpet that has taken me all over the world and has introduced me to incredible experiences, taken me to incredible places, and introduced me to all of the people I love most dearly in life.
So whether you're a fool just beginning your journey through the playing card story, or if you're at the end of your story as a wizard counting down your days, remember that there is a deck of playing cards - and perhaps a single playing card - that can change a person's life. So next time a person says "Pick a card," remember that this moment can change a life forever.

CONCLUSION
It takes a lot for the Society of American Magicians to vote you into their Hall of Fame, especially when you're still active performing and teaching. Jeff McBride is one of the few in the world who can lay claim to being part of that select group.
Jeff is first and foremost a performer with a love for entertaining people, and the unique combination of elements that helps make his stage act stand out from other performers will always be a memorable trademark style that people associate with his name. But perhaps his lasting legacy will be the new role he has taken on as a sage and mentor to others. His Magic & Mystery School has been instrumental in producing new magicians who will continue to entertain us in years to come.
With this interview we've had a wonderful opportunity to have a glimpse of his thinking and learn about some of his experiences. Thank you Mr McBride for all that you've given to magic! May this inspire all of us to turn that pack of playing cards in our hands as a tool to develop our own skills, and to share our love for the arts with those around us!
